Welcome!

Here at the WHLA, we base our worldview on health. A healthy mind and body is a good start, but there is so much more to our health than just ourselves. Healthy relationships are absolutely essential, and without a healthy environment to live in, can anyone truly prosper and thrive? When you start thinking about it, what doesn't effect your health?

Take stress as an example. It is frequently underestimated as a fundamental aspect of our health. Stress has the power to be either highly motivating or severely debilitating and a fitting illustration of this point is economic stress. When providing for your needs and the needs of your family, the experience can either be rewarding or distressing, depending on your situation. So the value of a good job in a robust economy cannot be overlooked as a key part of our personal health.

When it comes down to it, our health is a product of every aspect of our lives and here at the WHLA, we are committed to making Whatcom County the healthiest place that it can be.
